Our community deserves a council member who listens, delivers, and puts people first. I have a clear, practical plan — built on accountability and action.
Our community needs reliable services, real public participation, and a council that works with transparency. Too often, decisions are made without the people in mind.
I'm running to provide exactly that — a fresh approach built on accountability, accessibility, and meaningful action for every resident of Feydhoo.
Open council meetings, published decisions, and direct communication with constituents at every step of the governance process.
Every promise tracked publicly. Every commitment followed through. A council seat held to the highest standard of personal responsibility.
Real public participation, listening sessions, and decisions made with the people of Feydhoo — not just for them.

Ismail Saeed is a proud resident of Feydhoo, running as the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) candidate for the Feydhoo Maadhela Council Seat.
His campaign is built on a simple belief: that local government should work for the people — with transparency, accountability, and genuine care for the community.
"I grew up in Feydhoo, and this community has shaped who I am. I've seen the daily frustrations families face — water shortages, power cuts, feeling like their voices aren't heard. I've also seen the strength, resilience, and kindness of our people.
I'm running because I believe we can do better. Not with empty promises, but with a clear plan, honest leadership, and a commitment to showing up — every day — for the people of Feydhoo Maadhela."— Ismail Saeed
I believe a council member's job is to be the bridge between residents and the authorities — bringing your concerns forward and following up until they're addressed.
Before any decision, I will consult the community. Your voice will shape every priority I bring to the council table.
Every budget, every decision, every project will be shared publicly. You have the right to know exactly how your council is working for you.
Together we can build the Feydhoo our community deserves.
I will do everything I can to take your concerns to the authorities who do have power — to request the resources we need, to push for action, and to follow up relentlessly until things get done.
I won't make promises I can't keep. But I promise you this:
"I will never stop advocating for Feydhoo Maadhela."

Reliable access to clean water, stable electricity, and efficient sewage services for every household in Feydhoo.
Conduct household surveys to identify where water pressure is weak, where power cuts happen most, and where sewage systems are failing — then bring this evidence to the relevant authorities.
Request infrastructure upgrades, push for faster maintenance response times, and demand expansion to underserved areas. Weekly follow-up calls and written requests until issues are resolved.
Propose local budget allocations for minor pipe repairs, advocacy campaigns, and community backup systems like shared water storage or generator coordination.
Set up a complaint tracking system so residents can see their concerns are being followed up. Push for service-level agreements that hold providers accountable to fixed response timeframes.
Even though councils don't control utilities, we have influence. We have the power to advocate, to prioritize needs in council planning, and to hold authorities accountable publicly. I will use every tool available to make sure your voice is heard and acted upon.
Your voice being heard, respected, and included in every major decision that affects Feydhoo.
Establish regular community meetings — monthly or quarterly — where you can raise concerns, suggest projects, and question council decisions directly.
Set up suggestion boxes in key locations, online feedback forms, and social media polls so you can share your views in whatever way works for you.
Before any major project or decision, share plans publicly, collect feedback, and advocate for adjustments based on what residents say — then report back on outcomes.
Hold dedicated sessions for youth, women, and elderly residents who may not use digital tools. Everyone deserves to be heard — not just those who are already vocal.
Councils directly control public meetings and community engagement processes. This doesn't require heavy funding — just organization, commitment, and transparency. I am committed to making sure your voice is never ignored.
Full transparency in council work and accessible digital services so you can easily access information, track decisions, and follow up on requests.
Advocate for the council to digitize permit applications, complaint submissions, and service requests through a simple website, mobile-friendly forms, or even WhatsApp.
Use Facebook and a simple website to post council decisions, announce projects, share updates, and notify service interruptions. You will always know what the council is doing.
Request that budgets and spending be made public with simple charts and short explanations — so you can see exactly where council funds are going.
Advocate for a system where each complaint gets a tracking number and residents can see its status: pending, in progress, or completed. Real accountability.
Councils control their own communication systems. Digital tools today are low-cost and easy to implement. Platforms like Facebook and WhatsApp are already widely used in Feydhoo. I will push to make these tools work for you.
Empowering the youth of Feydhoo by expanding access to training, creating pathways to jobs and entrepreneurship, and ensuring their voices shape our community's future.
Work with institutions like Maldives Polytechnic to request short courses in electrical & plumbing, IT, digital skills, and hospitality — and request that trainers come directly to Feydhoo.
Coordinate with local businesses in Addu City to request internship programs and apprenticeships. Organize CV preparation and interview practice sessions.
Advocate for small business support programs and request guidance sessions on starting a business, marketing, and financial basics. Promote home-based and online businesses.
Create a Youth Advisory Group and request that youth representatives be included in council discussions. Hold youth-specific consultations so their views shape decisions.
As council member, I can coordinate with institutions and businesses, advocate for budget allocations, and organize community initiatives. I will act as a connector and facilitator — bringing opportunities to Feydhoo.
Stronger learning environments, better support for students and teachers, and more opportunities for academic and personal development.
Advocate for safe roads and crossings near schools, clean environments, and proper waste management. Coordinate with authorities to request facility upgrades and follow up relentlessly.
Work with volunteers to organize after-school tutoring programs and exam preparation sessions. Advocate for community study spaces with internet access.
Request that teachers be recognized and appreciated publicly. Advocate for training workshops and community support initiatives — because when teachers feel supported, students succeed.
Request support for sports programs, arts and cultural activities, and leadership and debate clubs. These opportunities matter as much as academics for our children's futures.
As council member, I can advocate for school needs to higher authorities, coordinate between parents, teachers, and services, and organize community-based support programs. I will be the voice for our schools and our children.
